FAULT LINES SPRING 2026
In 2059, where AI has redefined companionship amid growing isolation, humanity faces another pandemic lockdown.
Mia, a reclusive 30-year-old, is persuaded by his single mother, Ava, to quarantine with his estranged grandfather, Joshua — a rigid, uncompromising man Mia last saw when he was four. Burdened by years of unresolved guilt, Ava sends Mia in her place, hoping he might succeed where she could not. What begins as reluctant cohabitation slowly gives way to an unexpected bond, as the two men begin to find common ground.
As their relationship deepens, buried wounds and unspoken blame resurface. Joshua’s strict routines, obsessive order, and moments of emotional volatility introduce an unnameable tension that shapes their interactions and threatens the connection forming between them. In a world where efficiency has replaced intimacy, Fault Lines asks whether reconciliation is still possible, especially between people shaped by different generations.
The play explores
- Loneliness and connection in a hyper-digital world
- How families fracture, and how they find their way back
- What “care” and “presence” really mean when technology can mimic both
Why This Story Matters
Fault Lines is a story seldom told today—one that’s more emotional than cerebral and leads with humanity over social commentary.
It doesn’t try to lecture or solve the world; it asks you to sit in a living room with these characters and feel what they feel.
